James “Jim” Draper, Jr., 41, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, February 19, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born December 27, 1982, in Granite City, IL, to James Robert Draper, Sr. and Karen (Abbott) Draper.

James had been employed at Vitronic. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing and bowhunting. James also liked to spend time playing with his dog and pal, Rocco.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen (Abbott) Draper.

Surviving are his dear friend and companion, Robin Wagner of Doniphan and her children, Joseph and Tyler; his father, James Draper, Sr. of Granite City, IL;  brother, Justin Abbott Draper of Washington, MO; paternal grandmother, Linda Draper of Granite City, IL; and maternal grandparents, Luther and Ann Abbott of Grandin, MO.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, February 26, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at noon. Brother Luther Abbott will be officiating, and burial will be in Beaver Dam Cemetery.
