Obituary of Eddie Sue Seals
Eddie Sue’s warm smile and loving personality radiated from her, brightening the day of everyone around her. She was a shining example of living a Christian life with her loving and caring spirit. Eddie Sue often sent cards letting others know she was praying and thinking of them. She attended His Place Church where she was a greeter welcoming all who entered. Having worked at Fred’s for many years, she knew almost everyone in the county, and they knew and loved her. In past years, she taught a children’s Sunday School class. She had a positive impact on everyone she met and certainly made the world a better place.
Eddie Sue enjoyed “picking” on people, and of course, they enjoyed “picking” back. She liked to work puzzles and gardened in the summer reaping a harvest of delicious tomatoes which she generously shared with family, friends, and neighbors. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her delight, and she cherished every moment with them.
Surviving are her daughters, Kim (Steve) Cannon of Doniphan, Karla (Roy) Hale of Springfield, MO, and Pam (Dan) Koehler of Doniphan; a brother, Mark (Barb) Thompson of Doniphan, sister-in-law, Linda Thompson, also of Doniphan; grandchildren, Travis, Kelsey, and Madlyn; great-grandchildren, Weston and Barrett; and nephew, Ted Thompson.
In addition to her parents, Eddie Sue was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylin Thompson, and nephew, Thomas Gary (Tad) Thompson.
Services for Eddie Sue will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at His Place Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Brothers Dan Craig, Jerry Suitor, and Luke Harris will be officiating. A private interment will take place in the Doniphan City Cemetery
