Obituary of Tony Giblin, III

Please share a memory of Tony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On January 18, 2024, Walter (Tony) Giblin III was at peace, with his daughter by his side, as he took his final breath. He was 71 years old. In 2019, Tony had a stroke leaving him unable to use his right side. At that time, he surprised us all with the decision to move from St. Louis to “the country”, so his daughter- Nickole could take care of him.

Tony never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. It didn’t matter where or when; he was always chatting it up with anyone and everyone. He didn’t believe in taking life too seriously and lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed cold beer while grilling, fishing, joking around, and spending time with family and friends.

Born in St. Louis in 1952. Tony was raised an Irish Catholic in Morse Mill, Missouri to Dorthy and Walter Giblin II. He was proud to be a hod carrier and construction laborer of the Union Local 110. He was a member of the VFW and Elks Lodge where he held various offices throughout the years.

Tony is survived by his brother -Bill (Sylvia) Giblin, a daughter - Nickole (Jeff) Dawes, a son - Michael (Jamie) Conway, best friend- Dawyna Giblin, three grandson’s - Aedan, Dylan, and Easton, and a granddaughter - Aisley, as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tim Giblin.

True to who he was, Tony wanted his life to be celebrated with family and friends and his ashes spread at one of his favorite places growing up. Therefore, we will have a Celebration of Life gathering in Cedar Hill, MO this Spring 2024 (Details will be posted via Nickole & Tony's Facebook page).

Please share memories and pictures to be added to his memory book.
