Obituary of Eric and Kathryn Pudivitr

Eric Jerome and Kathryn Ann (Rutledge) Pudivitr, beloved husband and wife, departed this life Saturday, January 13, 2024. They were married on June 15, 2002, in Oxly, MO, and had celebrated 29 years of their life together and shared their loving and caring hearts with every person they met. Their home and hearts were always open to meet the needs of other people.

Eric, age 50, was born January 30, 1973, in St. Louis, MO, to Lynora Clinton of St. Louis and the late Jerome Pudivitr. Eric enjoyed sports and the outdoors. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching a variety of sporting events, and cutting firewood. He also enjoyed LOUD music.

Kathryn was born October 4, 1979, in Des Peres, MO, to Ronald and Mary (Meyer) Rutledge. She was 44. “Kat” was the neighborhood mother, painting fingernails and doing hair. She cherished time with her family, especially with her granddaughter and working with Eric. Being a grandmother was her highest calling, and she found priceless reward.

Surviving are their children, Corey (Michelle) Pudivitr, Austin Pudivitr, and Brian Pudivitr, all of Doniphan; Eric’s son, Anthony Pudivitr of Niceville, FL; Eric’s sister, Jina Coleman of Cape Girardeau, MO; Eric’s brothers, Joe Rulo of Poplar Bluff, MO and Jeff Pudivitr;  Kathryn’s sister, Tammy Ray of Gatewood; her brothers, Eddie Rutledge and Tim Rutledge, both of Doniphan; Kathryn’s best friend, Lisa Bohannon; several nieces and nephews including Krystal Richardson, Kristy Frans, Julie Murray, Angela Rutledge, Michael Richardson, Josh Richardson, Timothy Rutledge, Timothy Rutledge, II, Emma Rutledge, and Keesha Giovingo; and their precious granddaughter, Aubrey Pudivitr.

Eric was preceded by a brother, Tim Rulo.

A memorial visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, beginning at noon with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
