Linda Lea McDowell, 73, of Doniphan MO, departed this life Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born Feb. 17, 1950, to Leamon Doyle and Violet Nelle (Stanley) McArthur.

Linda had a great love for the Lord and her family. Her gift was making everyone feel special and loved. She was a retired nurse and a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving is her son, James McDowell of Doniphan; sisters, Brenda Belcher of Gatewood, Gale Wertz of East Peoria, Illinois, Diane McBride of East Peoria, Illinois, and Alethea Crone of Roanoke, Illinois; and a brother, Glenn McArthur of Bethalto, Illinois; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jo Reeta Shoop, and brother, Larry Wayne McArthur.
