Obituary of Tisha Johnson

LaTisha Dawn (Griffin) Johnson, 52-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her home.  Tisha was born February 5, 1971, to Carter and Sue Griffin of Doniphan, MO.

Tisha was saved and baptized at an early age.  She was of the Baptist Faith.  Tisha was an elementary school teacher.  She began her teaching career at Ellington, MO.  She then started teaching 3^rd grade at Doniphan Elementary until she retired in 2022.

Tisha was known for her love of teaching.  She was always going above and beyond for her students.  Everyone that knew her realized she had a big heart and loved spoiling her friends’ and family’s kids.

Surviving is her son, Brenon Johnson; her parents; and two sisters, Shannon Henson (Damon Redden) of Poplar Bluff, MO and Jennifer (Jason) Armstrong of Doniphan, MO; a niece, Casse Redus of Pocahontas, AR; two great nieces and one great nephew, Huntley, Wesson, and Kimberlynn Redus; and her special girls, Summer and Jessica.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Justin Johnson, and her nephew, Jesse Redus.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Kelly officiating.  Visitation will begin at 11AM.
