Obituary of Mildred Irene Farrow

Mildred “Mickey” Irene Farrow, 76-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born October 13, 1946, in Poynor, MO, to the late Homer George and Katherine (Farris) Ellis.

Mickey enjoyed being active and loved all sports in general. She always marked her calendar so she would be in the deer woods for bow season. She liked to go bowling and play baseball. Topping the list of her favorite activities, however, was time spent with her family.

Surviving are her children, Debra Murphey of Ellsinore, MO, Judy St. Cin of Doniphan, and Tommy Boshears, also of Doniphan; sisters, Vivian Nelson Ehlers of Percy, IL, Juanita Fitzgerald and Brenda Pruitt, both of Doniphan; 10 grandchildren, Mark, Joseph, Natalie, Adam, Trent, Tabitha, Colt, Kylie, Tommy; step-grandson, David; 18 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way; along with many others who loved her and knew her as “Grandma Mickey”.

Mickey was preceded by her brothers, George, Ed, Dave, Charlie, Ron, Floyd, and Virgil Ellis; sister, Hazel Thomas; half-sister, Helen McGuire; and half-brothers, Richard “Dick” Ellis and “Buzz” Ellis.

Visitation will be held in the Edward Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 28, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00. Burial will be in Sanky Hall Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family, c/o Edwards Funeral Home, 606 Walnut Street, Doniphan, MO  63935.
