Grando Crawford Cox, 79, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Cox, son of John and Lida (Barnes) Cox, was born March 25, 1932, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a farmer and attended the Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening, mechanics, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was married to Ruth Stoneburner Runion on August 16, 1980, in Fairdealing, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 13, 2010.
Surviving are four daughters: Rita (and Jon) Trumbly of Hominy, Oklahoma, Melissa (and Jerry) DeWitt of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Barbara (and Dave) Tuggle of Dickson, Tennessee, and Laura (and Phurba) Lama of Franklin, Tennessee; two sons, Justin Cox of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Tony (and Jan) Cox of Doniphan, Missouri; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two sons, Darrell Cox and Benji Cox, one granddaughter, Teton French, and one great-grandson Darrell Gene.
Visitation for Mr. Cox will start at noon Friday, February 10, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel and burial will be in the Arnold Cemetery.
