Obituary of Betty Jean Saunders

Betty Jean Saunders, 93, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, August 11, 2023, at Current River Nursing Center. Mrs. Saunders, daughter of the late Tom & Ermine (Roberts) Ollar, stepdaughter of Charles F. Kelley, was born February 18, 1930, in Doniphan, Missouri.

She worked in the cosmetic industry and enjoyed gardening, house plants, pets, and taking care of her family.

Surviving are three children, Tom Keith Saunders of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Brenda Karen D'Amico and Debra Lynne Hammond, both of Doniphan; and 7 grandchildren, Michael, Kristin, Jonathan, Kelley, David, Kevin and Nicole; and 8 great-grandchildren, Grace, Charlotte, Bryant, Charles, Rosie, Jasic, Luca and Astrid.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Saunders Jr.; one daughter Donna Kaye Heinrich; one sister Carol Grenier; and two brothers Marvin Paul Kelley and Charles Maurice Kelley.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Pope Chapel Cemetery.
