Larry Glen Sherrod, 65-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Friday, June 16, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born July 13, 1957, in Phoenix, AZ, to the late Leonard and Von (Surratt) Sherrod.

Larry was fun to be around. His light-hearted and jovial personality was entertaining to his family, friends, and coworkers. He enjoyed sharing laughs with them. Larry enjoyed photography and playing games on the computer. He liked to read, and his favorite author was John Grisham. Larry had worked as a healthcare worker at the nursing home and with in-home healthcare.

Surviving is his sister, Linda (David) Davis of Doniphan, nieces, Beverly (Dan) Jackson and Stephanie Switzer; great-niece, Lacey Sherrod; and many cousins and close friends.

Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Switzer, and her husband, Gary.

A graveside service will be held at Hunt-White Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023.
