Opha Lee Ollar, 96, life-long resident of Ripley County, Missouri, died at her residence in rural Doniphan, Missouri on February 4, 2012. Mrs. Ollar, daughter of John William and Zora Iva (Gibson) Pigg, was born July 2, 1915, at Bennett, Missouri. She retired as a factory worker with Vitronic Manufacturing. Mrs. Ollar was a 60-year member of Eastern Star and attended Briar Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with flowers and being with her grandchildren. On April 8, 1938, she was married to Fred Lester Ollar in Bennett, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1995. Surviving are two sons, John Bruce Ollar of Briar, Missouri, and Wayne Floyd "P. D." Ollar of Mack, Colorado; one sister, Marie Opal Duggins of California; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Oma Marie Isenberg and Ila Opal Pigg, and four brothers, Russell William Pigg, Floyd Lisbon Pigg, Lloyd Lilbourn Pigg, and Lyman Perry Pigg. Visitation for Mrs. Ollar will start at noon on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Hufstedler Cemetery.
