Obituary of Larry Casteel

Larry Casteel, 60-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, May 6, 2023. He was born September 8, 1962, in Kennett, MO, the son of Clarence and Billie Jo (Kelly) Casteel. Larry had been a farmer and sawmiller. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, camping, spending time on the river and hanging out with friends and family.

Surviving is his wife, Angelia Rudd; his children, Crystal Casteel of Kennett, MO, Joshua Casteel of California, Amanda Casteel of California, and Jacob Casteel also of California, Joshua Gargus of Kentucky, Christopher Casteel of Missouri, Eric Casteel of Holcomb, MO, and Emily Luye of Doniphan, Katie Rudd of Poplar Bluff, MO, Erin Casteel of Michigan, Kaci Casteel of Doniphan, and Sean Tillman of Kentucky; sisters, Barbara Godair, Jo Ann Emerson, Margaret Jones, Brenda Casteel, and Rena Ruminer; and brothers, Barry Casteel, Larry’s twin, and Michael Casteel. Also surviving are his 23 grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Casteel.

A memorial service will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.
