Obituary of Wilburn Robert Kelley

Wilburn Robert Kelley, 76-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was born April 6, 1947, in Kansas City, MO, to Milburn B. and Dixie D. (Merriman) Kelley.

 

Wilburn had been a heavy equipment operator operating a bulldozer. A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed working on his mower and mowing the lawn. He also liked to spend the day fishing. Wilburn was of the Baptist faith.

 

Surviving is his fiancé, Shirley Akins of Doniphan, MO; his children, Bruce Kelley of Coeur Dalene, ID, Cindy Warren of Oxly, MO, Bobby Kelley of Doniphan, and Dean Kelley of Advance, MO; sisters, Patricia Leonard of Florida and Mary Slayton of Doniphan; and two brothers, Mike Kelley of Doniphan and Phillip Kelley of Bethany, MO.

 

Wilburn was preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Stoopsberry, Rose Williams, and Dixie Lee Kelley, and a brother, Milburn Kelley.

 

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
