Obituary of Ken Cox, Jr.

Kenneth “Ken” Elvin Cox, Jr., age 64, departed this life at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. He was born July 24, 1958, in Walla Walla, WA, to the late Kenneth Elvin Cox, Sr. and Lois (Sommerville) Cox.

 

Ken had worked as a truck driver. His “little” dog Buddy was a true buddy to him. He liked animals and enjoyed spending time with them and loved being outdoors. Ken also spent time scrapping.

 

Surviving are his daughters, Velva Sue Jarvis of Ellsinore, MO, Lisa Cox of Poplar Bluff, and Becky Cox of Doniphan; a son, Kenneth Charles Allen of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Anita Longhibler, also of Poplar Bluff; and three brothers, David Cox of Cameron, MO, Roger Perryman of Sunny Island, FL, and Gary Perryman of Springfield, MO. Also surviving are his grandchildren, James, Kristy, Taylor, Triston, Jesse, and Casandera, and a great-grandchild, Dylane.

 

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, and a grandchild, Dylane.

 

The family will have a private service at a later date.
