Shirley Diana Darnell

Shirley passed peacefully at home the afternoon of March 13, 2023.  She was surrounded and supported by her loving family.

She was the Dearest daughter of the late James and Zilpha (Riehl) Russell, Beloved wife of the late Medford Darnell for over 61 years, Loving mother to Medford (Sally), Joseph (Cindy), Michael Darnell, Susan (Lance) Dent, and Cynthia (the late Cary) Wamser.  Cherished Grandmother to 13, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend to many. 

She was a woman of great character who always put God and Family first. 

She had a great artistic ability of romancing the ordinary, turning everything she touched into something beautiful.  She loved art, literature, and music and loved being outside and working in her garden. She lived every day to its fullest, life was sweeter because she was Our Mother.  SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL SOUL.
