Obituary of Julia Ann Harvey

Julia Ann Harvey (Smith), 58, departed this life Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was born May 20, 1964, in Poplar Bluff, MO to Howard “Mick” Harvey and Nina Ruth Gilliland.

Julia loved summers which offered opportunities to spend time on Current River and enjoy the outdoors. She cherished all the years spent with her family and friends, but her most cherished moments were those she got to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Julia attended Hunter Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Wesley Smith of Hunter, MO and Saydie (Daniel) Cook of Doniphan; brother, Rick (Susan) Harvey of Farmington, MO; sisters, Cindy (Jim) Frazier of Ellsinore and Vicky Miner, also of Ellsinore; her grandchildren, Jaylyn Cook, Logan Cook, Maverick Cook, and Jaxson Cook; and one great-grandchild, Klayton Griffin, along with several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Julia was preceded in death by her brothers, Dwayne and Eric Harvey.

A memorial service will be held at Hunter Baptist Church on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
