Obituary of Virginia Lynn Woodson

Virginia Lynn Woodson, 57, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, January 16, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born February 27, 1965, in Doniphan to the late Ollie Motley.

Virginia enjoyed reading, playing Bingo and Solitaire, and fishing. She loved animals and found each one to be cute and endearing.

On February 27, 1996, Virginia married Billy Woodson in Doniphan. He survives. Also surviving are her stepchildren, William Scallion, Sonja Ursley, Bobbie Jo Scallion, and Amanda Reedmer, all of Doniphan; sisters, Shirley Langworthy of Doniphan and Glenda Garner of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Dale Pruitt and James West, both of Doniphan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, Virginia was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Motley; sisters, Rhonda David, Vetrea Peoples, and Linda Ellis.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 23, 2023, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Sanky Hall Cemetery in Poynor, MO.
