Obituary of Jimmie Cora, Jr.

Jimmie Cora, Jr., 38, of Doniphan, MO, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2022, at Cox Medical Center in Springfield MO. He was born on September 12, 1984, to Jimmie Cora Sr. and Carla Field.

 

Jimmie loved to swim in the ocean and go tubing down the river. He loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved to go hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and working on cars.

 

Jimmie was predeceased by his grandparents, Linda Henson, Bill Spurlock, Alice Abbott, and John Cora; Uncle Vincent Scrimsher; and two nephews, Travis Cora and James Thornton.

 

Surviving is his wife of 17 years, Barbara Brower; his parents, Jimmie Cora Sr. of Doniphan, MO and Carla Field and husband, Jonathan Field, of Ocala, FL; sisters, Holly Thornton and husband, Jamie Thornton, of Tuscumbia, AL and Roshella Cora of Ocala FL; brother, Travis Cora of Poplar Bluff, MO; niece, Aughbrionnah Thornton; nephews, Devin Thornton and Austin Posch; and his very best friend Teresa Pence.

 

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
