Obituary of Billy Joe Tillman

Billy Joe Tillman, 60-year-old life-long resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, January 16, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born October 13, 1962, in Doniphan, to the late Perry and Alice (Borth) Tillman.

Billy Joe owned and operated Bill’s Cleanup Shop, an auto detail shop. A person could drop by for lively conversation and drive away with a clean and shining vehicle. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend. He cherished time with his family. Billy Joe enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was their biggest fan, always rooting them on. They were his pride and joy. Billy Joe also liked to be outdoors hunting and fishing.

On July 31, 1982, Billy Joe married Judy Lynn Townsend in Doniphan. She survives Also surviving are his children, Bob (Monica) Tillman of Naylor, MO and Joy (Ian) Stewart of Doniphan; two sisters, Violet Richmond and Jeannie Tillman, both of Doniphan; and his grandchildren, Gracie and Briley.

Billy Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Gary Tillman, and a sister, Mary Ann Tillman.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Brooks Cemetery with Brother Danny Miller officiating.
