Obituary of Nellie F. Stilwell

Nellie F. Stilwell, 95-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, January 7, 2023. She was born November 9, 1927, in Antlers, OK, to the late Charles Rufus and Lester Mae (House) Barcom.

Nellie had been a meat cutter for the local IGA grocery store. She enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting. Nellie also like to work outside in the yard. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Doniphan.

On September 14, 1946, Nellie married Leroy Stilwell in Blytheville, AR. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1985. She was also preceded by a daughter, Linda Nelson; a sister, Marie Chitwood; and two brothers, Leo Barcom and Lewis Barcom.

Surviving is a son, Ken (Sue) Stilwell of Doniphan; a daughter, Barbara (Charles) Young of Eustis, FL; a son-in-law, Ronnie Nelson of Doniphan; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jim Davis will be officiating, and burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
