Obituary of Jimmy O'Dell Thompson

Jimmy O’Dell Thompson, 68-year-old residents of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was born March 31, 1954, in Ukiah, CA, to Jimmy O’Dell and Mary Mattie (McColgin) Thompson.

Jimmy had been an over-the-road truck driver. He had traveled many places but called Harrison, AR his home. He would travel back and forth to Doniphan to see his close friends, Tommy, Jason, and Sandy. Jimmy loved the ocean and liked to go deep sea fishing and crabbing. Jimmy was of the Pentecostal faith.

Surviving is his daughter, Sarah Bannister of McMinnville, OR; three sons, Jimmy Thompson of Harrison, AR, James Thompson of Northglenn, CO, and Bobby Thompson of California; a sister, Martha Jane Thompson of McMinnville, OR; a brother, Hank Thompson of St. Louis, MO; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Darin, Reianna, Jacob, Logan, Trinity, Michelle, and Michael.

A memorial visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
