Robert Dalton Widding, 24-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life early Tuesday, October 26, 2022, to go to his heavenly reward and start eternity with his Lord and Savior. He was born July 13, 1998, in Poplar Bluff, MO to Robert Chad Widding of Doniphan and Karen Bates Widding, also of Doniphan.

 

Dalton was a disciple of Jesus Christ and was an active member of West Point United Pentecostal Church. Dalton loved his family, and they were one of his main priorities. He was a family-oriented man. He enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing and hiking and spending time with his wife and children. When indoors he enjoyed playing games on his PS4 with his kids and wife.

 

On May 29, 2021, Dalton married Valerie Redus in Poynor, MO. She survives. Also surviving are his parents; his stepchildren, Kayden Cook, Aubree Folkerts, and Isaiah Redus-Harris; a sister, Sheli Widding of Poplar Bluff, MO; his paternal grandmother, Michelle Abraham of Little Rock, AR; paternal grandfather, Bob Widding of Conway, AR; and an uncle, Brad Widding, also of Little Rock.

 

Dalton was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diane Hart, and his paternal step grandfather, Big Jim Abraham.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Brooks Cemetery. Pastor Timothy Arnold will be officiating.
