Obituary of Kathy Massey

Wanda Kathryn “Kathy” Massey, 70, of Gatewood, MO, departed this life, Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was born June 9, 1952, in Clovis, New Mexico, to the late “J. N.” John Fulfer and Wanda Mae Wise.

Kathy was known throughout the Gatewood Community for the love and the care she gave to others. She was active in her church, Tucker Community Church, and was a Gatewood School PTO volunteer for over 25 years. Kathy made her home warm and welcoming with her special touches. She enjoyed cooking for her family and others in the community and embroidering.

On July 19, 1969, Wanda married Gerald Robert Massey in Springdale, AR. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2014. She was also preceded by two brothers, Billy and Gary Fulfer.

Surviving are her children, Gearld Massey, Jr. of Gatewood, Becky (Brian) Hinton, also of Gatewood, and Sarah (Terry) Price of Doniphan; sisters, Sue Smith of Texas and Sarah Hatfield of Huntsville, AR; and brothers, John Fulfer and Dwight Fulfer, both of Springdale, AR, and Leslie Fulfer of Florida, as well as numerous brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Price of Doniphan, Jordon (John) Hill of Briar, Hunter (Paige) Price, Garett Massey, Hailey Price, Dalton Royer, and Kelsey Treadwell, and her great-grandchildren, Mason Price, Zane Price, Danilynn, Elena, and Jay Hill, Bayleann Meridith Price, Caden Leon Price, and Addalynn Massey.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 30, 2022, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Clay Garvin will be officiating, and burial will be in the Warm Springs Cemetery.
