Obituary of Anna Mae Shelton

Anna Mae Shelton, 86, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was born September 7, 1935, in Gatewood, MO to the late Frank and Pearl (Stowers) Burgin. 

 

Anna was a homemaker and took delight in doing things for her family. She was an excellent seamstress and talented cake decorator. Anna enjoyed relaxing with a good book. She attended the Assembly of God Church.

 

On July 15, 1950, Anna married Floyd Shelton in Pocahontas, AR. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2002. She was also preceded by a daughter, Linda Shelton; her sisters, Edna, Edith, Ruth, Donna, Joyce, and Norma; and her brother, Gerald.

 

Surviving is her daughter, Gail (Wayne) Faries; her grandchildren, Shawna (Jaylen) Murray, Autumn Plunk (Chad Crumley), and Heather Faries; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Landon, Kimora, Jaydin, and Christian. Anna is also survived by a special friend to the family, Shirley Bradshaw.

 

The family will have a private service.
