Obituary of Walter Eugene Jackson

Walter Eugene Jackson, 73-year-old resident of Naylor, MO, departed this life Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born July 23, 1948, in Qulin, MO to the late Eugene and Truly (Lashley) Jackson.

 

Walter had worked at Rowe Furniture for many years. He loved living on the farm and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Center Hill Southern Baptist Church.

 

On June 20, 1967, Walter married Lucretia Gulley. They were married for 55 years and six days. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Tina Jackson of Naylor and Andrew (Kim) Jackson of Doniphan, MO; his siblings, Denver E. (Sheila) Jackson, Fairdealing, MO, Laberta Weaver of Poplar Bluff, MO, Earl Jackson of Texas, and Mary Henson of Wappapello, MO; and his grandchildren, Caleb Jackson, Tanner and Gracen Day, and Bayler Jackson.

 

Walter was preceded in death by his siblings, Lee Little, Mary Sills, Everett Little, Annie Gulley, and Clara Howard, and his in-laws, Raymond and Mavis Gulley.

 

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral services will be Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Center Hill Cemetery.
