Obituary of Molly Genell Whitehouse

Molly Genell Whitehouse, 91, of Pine, MO, departed this life Tuesday, March 15, 2022. She was born November 25, 1930 in Pine to the late Wesley and Willa (Story) Miller.

 

Genell was a member of Oak Ridge Church of God in Briar, MO. She helped with fundraisers for and was a member of the Pine/Bardley Fire Department. Genell worked at the election polls for many years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School Class and Bible School throughout the years. She spent many hours working on quilt tops, working in her many flower beds, creating craft projects, and gathering pictures and information about the old schools in her community. Genell was always up for a social gathering, telling stories, and talking with her neighbors. She doted on her great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

 

On February 15, 1992, Genell married Daniel Whitehouse in Doniphan. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2021. In addition to her husband and parents, Genell was also preceded by three sisters; seven brothers; one great-grandson, Joshua Coin; one great-granddaughter, Keegan Kelso; one great-great-grandson, Knox Wesley Coin; and one great-great-grandbaby, Coin

 

Surviving is her daughter, Vickey (LeRoy) McCrary of Richwood, MO; grandchildren, Karen (Tim) Hardgrave, Todd (Jennifer) Hardgrave, Kim Kelso, Chrystal Kelso, and Paul Hardgrave, as well as 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation for will be Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Cemetery.
