Obituary of AC Murphy

AC Murphy, 81, of Doniphan, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2022 at his home. 

He was born May 18, 1940, in Hall Summit, LA to the late Bez Amner Murphy and Annie Gray (Shepherd) Murphy.  He was a self-employed roofer and remodeler.

AC enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, poker, and dancing.  AC was a US Marine Veteran. 

On April 18, 1992 he married Diana Burr in Mansfield, LA.  She preceded him in death on April 8, 2021.

He is survived by his children Donna Caloway, Barb Reynolds, Cathy (Dave) Corum, AG (Brooke) Murphy, Tim Martin, Tammy Lawson, Lee Casey, Rob (Dustie) Murphy, Dena (Kenneth) Hall, Martha Miller, Brandy Burr, and Stephen Miller; sisters, Virginia Boggs and Henrietta Walker; brother, JD Murphy; and bunches and bunches of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

AC was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Martha Murphy; son, David Murphy; sister, Vera Jean Murphy; and brothers, Bez Murphy, Jr. and Amner Gordon Murphy. 

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., also at Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor James Netherland official. Burial will be at Bellview Cemetery.
