Obituary of Linda Lee Redus
Linda Lee Redus, 80-year-old resident of Gatewood, MO, departed this life Monday, February 21, 2022 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, AR. She was born August 9, 1941 in Pontiac, MI to the late James DeMoss and the late Ilene (Cagle) Craig.
Linda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids and enjoyed going to watch them play ball. Linda always had a warm smile and time for friendly conversation. She loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. Linda was a beautiful person inside and out. Linda was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing. She had worked at Vitronic where she made many dear friends and retired after 37 years.
On April 6, 1958, Linda married Johnny Redus in Bakersfield, CA. He preceded her in death on January 11, 2015. She was also preceded by a daughter Tammy Sue Barton; grandson, Jordan Redus; her stepfather, Charlie Craig; and two brothers, Jimmy DeMoss and Roger DeMoss.
Surviving are one son, Sherman (Carol) Redus of Gatewood; two daughters, Nancy (David) Taylor of Myrtle, MO, and Holly Beegle (Mike Dortch) of Jonesboro, AR; two sisters, Birdie Barber and Regina Hokada; grandchildren, Brandon (Marlena), John (Jessica), Jason, Wesley (Shelby), Megan (Josh), Zach (Madi), Haley, and Matt; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Madilyn, Kaydence, Hayden, Corbin, Evan, Jayden, Hadley, Brentley, Haizley, Autreigh, and Liam.
Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 26, 2022 beginning at noon with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Russell Hensley will be officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery.
