Obituary of Bonnie Carol Swigert

Bonnie Carol Swigert, 78-year-old resident of Grandin, MO, departed this life Friday, January 21, 2022. She was born June 10, 1943 in Neelyville, MO to the late Samuel Edward and Zella Zalma Jean (Reid) McManus.
Bonnie had worked at Vitronic. She loved her family and cherished every moment they were together. Bonnie liked to crochet, garden, and go mushroom hunting and fishing. She enjoyed challenging friends and family to a friendly game, her favorite being Age of Empire. She attended Refuge Church in Grandin.
Bonnie married William L. Swigert. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Swigert; sisters, Edna Hampton and Ava Reynolds, and one brother, Bob McManus.
Surviving are her daughters, Donna Hawkins and Dede Brower, both of Grandin; a brother, Ronnie McManus, also of Grandin; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Stanley) Turner, Sami Jo Freeze, Cody (Austin) Hawkins, Shanah (Jamie) Drummond, Maycee Swigert, Karleigh (Dylan) Garner, Brett (Nikki) Freeze, and Chelsey (Josh) Bartholomew; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 27, 2022 with visitation beginning at noon with the funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Devon Black will be officiating. Burial will be in the Grandin Cemetery.
