Obituary of Leonard Swigert

Leonard Ray Swigert, 67-year-old resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Swigert was born February 1, 1944, to the late Orville And Agnes (Smelser) Swigert. He played the guitar and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Swigert served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Surviving are: one daughter, Judy Hart of Doniphan; four sons, Tony (Roberta) Swigert, David Swigert and Zachary Swigert, all of Doniphan, Jonathan Swigert of Clarksville, Tennessee; two step-sons, David and Danny Fritchley; one sister, Pat Bliss of Grandin; and two brothers, Luin Swigert of Doniphan and Walter Swigert of Jackson, Tennessee. Many good friends also survive.
Mr. Swigert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clifford Swigert.
Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home, Inc, Thursday evening, December 29, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will start at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning, December 30, 2011, in the funeral home chapel with Brother John Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Grandin City Cemetery.
