Bonnie Allen, 88, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, July 2, 2021, at Riverways Manor in Van Buren, MO.
Mrs. Allen, daughter of Tom and Mary (Sullivan) Steele, was born December 4, 1932, in Doniphan, MO. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Church of God. Mrs. Allen enjoyed embroidering, reading, and hand-making quilts.
On September 30, 1950, she was married to James A. Allen in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and he survives.
Also surviving are her children Jim T. (Jeannie) Allen of Poplar Bluff, Karen (Danny) Anderson and Diana (Ronnie) Kindrick of Doniphan; sisters Mary (John) Payne of Doniphan, Marjorie Engelken of Paducah, KY and brother Edward Steele of Worden, IL. Seven grandchildren Brad Allen, Amanda Allen, Heather Allen, Jeffrey Anderson, Rebecca Anderson, Jennifer (Chris) Vermilion, Amber (Keith) Ferrell. Eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild Laylie Lynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Carlton “Junior” Steele and Ronnie Steele.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2021, with the funeral following at 1 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with Bro. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
