Dorothy L. Baucom, 92, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the Walnut Street Boarding Home in Doniphan.
Mrs. Baucom, daughter of Joseph and Florence (McGonigal) Crook, was born July 23, 1919, in Ripley County, Missouri. She was retired from Vitronic Manufacturing after 40 plus years of employment. Mrs. Baucom enjoyed gardening and quilting and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
On August 17, 1942, she was married to L. S. "Buster" Baucom in Paragould, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1972.
Surviving is one nephew, Louie Crook, Jr. of Staunton, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Louie A. Crook, Sr.
Visitation for Mrs. Baucom will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, December 14, 2011, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
