Julia Smith, 68-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, April 12, 2021. She was born January 2, 1953 in St. Louis, MO to the late George Gilbert and Buelah Lucille (Rice) Gray.
Julia enjoyed coloring, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was an amazingly strong woman who loved her family with every fiber of her being.
Julia was married to Ricky Smith on May 27, 1971. He preceded her in death. Also preceding Julia in death was her brother, Gary Gray.
Surviving are her children: Rickey Eugene Smith and Kara Storey, Doniphan, Steven Allen Smith and Crystal Gayle Smith, Doniphan, and Jennifer LeAnn Gossett, Cape Girardeau; grandchildren: Jacob Burgess, Cape Girardeau, Rinoa Burgess, Cape Girardeau Ashley Smith, Doniphan, Zach Reddish, Doniphan, Peyton Falk, Doniphan Miranda Smith, Sikeston, Madison Brown, Dexter, Makayla Brown, Dexter, and Zach Brown, Chaffee; and her great-grandchildren: Olivia Brown, Poplar Bluff and Zayden Brown, Dexter. Julia is also survived by her siblings, James Gray, Ed Gray, and Phyllis Sarracas.
