Obituary of Jarold Dane Hulett

Jarold Dane Hulett, age 83, formerly of Imboden, AR, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, MO where he had been residing for the past two months. Mr. Hulett was born in Swifton, AR on December 5, 1937 to parents Rena Gather (Medlock) and Horace D. Hulett. Both preceded Mr. Hulett in death. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Marjorie, Opal, Maurine, HD Hulett, and Harold Hulett (his twin). Survivors include his siblings: Marie Sexton, Phyllis Janie Milner, Joe Hulett, and Adam Hulett. On October 15, 1955, Mr. Hulett married Vida Sue Carolyn Ross in Kennett, MO. She preceded him in death on October 7, 2016. Four daughters were born to their union. Surviving are Vickie (Lonnie) Holland of Harviell, MO, Robyne (Stewart) Collins of Doniphan, MO, and Dana (Anthony) Wells of Ravenden Springs, AR. The youngest daughter, Terri (Michael) Aaron of Grandin, MO preceded him in death. Mr. Hulett is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. In his younger years, Mr. Hulett enjoyed flying his small Cessna plane, fishing, and hunting. Mr. Hulett was a very talented and successful businessman. He enjoyed a vast range of careers in his lifetime. Among these were row crop farming, catfish farming, owning/operating a laundry and dry cleaners, logging, sawmilling, and owning/operating a chipper mill plant. He and his wife also built and sold twig furniture in several states. After moving to Imboden, AR, they enjoyed cattle ranching. This was a great passion of Mr. Hulett’s, and he took pride in sharing his knowledge with his grandsons that lived nearby. Mr. Hulett was a member of the Imboden Church of Christ. Mr. Hulett was a private person, and in keeping with his final wishes, the family will have a private memorial service in his honor.
