Obituary of Robert Paul Burke

Robert Paul (Bob) Burke, 87-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born July 31, 1933 in Kansas City, KS to the late John Paul and Mary Cecilia (Lane) Burke. Bob had served the Ripley County area as a law enforcement officer.
On March 9, 1953, Bob married Katherine Dayton in Kansas City, MO. She survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Mary K. Yount, of Doniphan, and Theresa M. (Robert) Hinkebein of Chaffee; one brother, John Stephen (Gayle) Burke of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Ethan (Ashlinne) Yount, Alexa (Corey) Porter, and Mary (Mike) Dethridge; and his great-grandchildren, Caden Abbott, Mariah McGhee, Morghan McGhee, Makailee McGhee, T. J. McGhee, and one little one on the way, Paislee Yount.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Burke was preceded in death by one son, John Paul Burke.
Graveside services for Mr. Burke were Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Doniphan City Cemetery with Pastor Kent Wilfong officiating.
