Dorothy Nixon, 97, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away December 26, 2020 in Doniphan, Missouri. She was born May 24, 1923 to Ora and Zelma (Joplin) Lantis.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Fred Nixon and Paul Northum, daughter Debbie Hodo and son Ricky Northum. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Dorothy worked at various places in her life including McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri and for Missouri Social Services in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She also spent time as a member of the Eastern Star.
Dorothy was a devoted dog lover and liked spending time outdoors enjoying wildlife and nature.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Joplin Cemetery in Ellsinore, Missouri.
