Opal Payne, 83-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was born October 21, 1937 in Reyno, AR to the late John and Delia (Buckner) Hart.
Opal had worked in health care taking care of many in the nursing homes, hospital, and private duty care.
Surviving are her children, Debbie (Keith) Barton, Jeff Payne, and Dale (Angela) Payne; grandchildren, Chris, Jason (Sarah), Brandon, Patrick, Shane, Jeffrey, Lauren, Riley, and Megan; and great-granddaughter, Olivia. Opal loved spending time with her family and was thrilled and with great joy was looking forward to the approaching arrival of her newest great-granddaughter.
Opal was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Jo Cisco; grandchild, Selena Payne; her sisters, Elsie Barton, Lee Parker, and Betty Johnson; and brothers, Roy Hart, Jr. Hart, Ray Hart, and Jackie Hart.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Edwards Funeral Home.
