Patsy (Pat) Wavigean Young, 72-year-old resident of Fairdealing, MO departed this life Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born August 22, 1948 in Rector, AR to Opal Woods Parks and the late Oscar Parks.
Pat attended Victory Christian Fellowship. She cherished her time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She also enjoyed shopping and drag racing. Pat retired from Gates Rubber Company where she made many dear friends.
On June 25, 1966, Pat married Donald Young in Rockford, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Opal Woods Parks of Fairdealing, MO; her children Stacy (Toby) Taylor of Oxly, MO, Donny (Jamie) Young of Doniphan, and Jill (Brian) Wright of Harviell, MO; her brothers, Butch Parks and Danny Parks, both of Rockford, IL; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her dad, Pat was preceded in death by one sister, Vanessa Fell.
Visitation will be Monday, November 16 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with pastors Curtis Crowley and Dillon Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Logan Creek Cemetery.
