Obituary of Teddy Collins

Teddy Collins Teddy "Ted" William Collins, 61, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Collins was born November 20, 1945, at Doniphan, Missouri, and was a lifelong resident of Ripley County. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed gardening. Mr. Collins was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW Post #3485. Surviving are two daughters, Angela Schertz of Miami, Oklahoma, and Samantha Anderson of Doniphan; two sons, Teddy Collins and Timmy Collins, both of Doniphan; his mother, Viola Smith Collins of Doniphan; one brother, Ned Collins, of Fairdealing; three sisters, Lynda Murray of Fairdealing, Donna Phillips of Doniphan, and Joanne Talburt of Jefferson City; and 17 grandchildren. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his father, Ted Collins. Visitation will be Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday, July 27, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Ben Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Amity Cemetery.
