Obituary of Lloyd Edsel Towell

Lloyd Edsel Towell, 76-year-old resident of Poynor, MO, departed this life Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. He was born November 21, 1943 in Poynor, MO to the late George Lemuel and Glenna Olive (Rawlings) Towell.
Lloyd had worked as a set-up man at Vitronic. He enjoyed tinkering with equipment, especially antique tractors. Farming was also a favorite pastime. Working with his son and grandkids along with his faithful dog, Savannah, and his departed furry friend, Eli, being outdoors made his day. Lloyd was very active in the Poynor Volunteer Fire Department and was of the Baptist faith.
On September 30, 1967, Lloyd married Dianne Ball in Tucker, MO. She survives. Also surviving are his son, Andy (Sandy) Towell of Poynor and three grandchildren, Cody, Miranda, and Nate.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Ann Towell.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday, October 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Poynor Cemetery.
