Wesley Alvin Reed, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, January 10, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Reed, son of George Thomas and Evaline (Mangold) Reed, was born October 25, 1940, in Peach Orchard, Missouri. He had been retired from Vitronic Manufacturing. A member of the Belleview General Baptist Church, he enjoyed farming and was an avid deer hunter. He was a good friend to everyone.
On September 22, 1962, he was married to Joyce Ann Kelly in New Madrid, Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Debbie Talley of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Mona Faler and Donna Reed, both of Doniphan; one son, Larry Reed of Doniphan; two sisters, Bonita Miller of Matthews, Missouri, and Gina Babb of New Madrid, Missouri; one brother, Paul Reed of Matthews, Missouri; two grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; and many friends.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tommy Lee Reed.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, January 13, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Friday morning, January 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ken Harding officiating. Burial will be in the Belleview Cemetery.
