Juanita Barton, 91-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Current River Nursing Center. She was born May 11, 1929 in Ripley County, MO to the late William and Mary (Hurst) Stillwell.
Juanita was a beautician at Style Beauty Shop in downtown Doniphan for 35 years. She loved her cats and enjoyed gardening.
On May 20, 1949, Juanita married Newt Barton in Pocahontas, AR. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2004.
Surviving are her sons, Keith Barton and Kelly Barton, both of Doniphan; her sister, Bonnie Elston of Doniphan; four brothers, Jack Bickford of Pocahontas, AR, William Bickford, and Archie Bickford of Poplar Bluff, MO; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Bickford and Jerry Bickford.
Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. Brother Ron Elston will be officiating. Burial will be in Amity Cemetery.
