Madrid Palmer, 65, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, July 15, 2020. He was born January 19, 1955 to the late Ronald LeRoy Palmer and Margaret Swindle Ryskey in Wakefield, MI.
Madrid was a mason and loved his career and seeing the buildings he used his skills to build. He was an avid cowboy and enjoyed riding horseback, walking in the woods and spending time outdoors, and hunting anything that was in season. He also liked to get out on the road on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of the Naylor American Legion.
On June 2, 2001, Madrid married Patricia Lipsey in Crawfordville, FL. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Aaron Madrid Palmer of Clearwater, FL, Alyssa Rose Palmer, of the home, Jeanetta Jo Jackson of Paragould, AR, and Randy D. Pate, also of Paragould; his sisters, Judy Robertson of Rosebud, AR and Jennifer Littell of Doniphan; his brothers, Robert Palmer of Crawfordville, FL, Gary Palmer of Portland, OR, and Jeffery Swindle of Crawfordville, FL; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by one daughter, Lillian Rose Palmer, and one brother, Harvey Hook.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., also in the chapel with Pastor Jerry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Whiteapache Cemetery.
