Vera Colleen Haywood, 64-year-old resident of Ripley County, MO departed this life Friday, June 12, 2020 at her residence in Ripley County. Mrs. Haywood was born February 21, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to Roland Oliver Payne and Shirley Mae (Gazaway) Morton. She worked as a bookkeeper. Colleen enjoyed and loved her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.
On September 26, 1975, Colleen married Landy Haywood in Doniphan. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2003.
Surviving are her mother, Shirley Morton of Doniphan; one son, Mike (Donna) Haywood of Doniphan; grandchildren, Melissa Dornin, Megan Dornin, Paul Giovingo, Brandon, Raven and Alex Sturgeon; and great-grandchildren, Bentley, Layton, Khyzer, Paul Jr., Khyra, Jaxon, Jake, and Luke.
Mrs. Haywood was preceded in death by her husband, father, and one daughter, Angie Haywood-Dornin.
The family will have a private service. They request that no plants or flowers be sent, but the family would welcome condolence cards and notes with memories of Colleen.
