Joyce Laveta Pippin
Joyce Laveta Pippin, 73, of Aurora, Missouri, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.
Mrs. Pippin was born February 4, 1934, in Oxly, Missouri. She was a housewife and a member of the Fairdealing Apostolic Church. She loved her family, liked to read her Bible and enjoyed doing needlework.
On May 31, 1951, she was married to J. B. Pippin at Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2001.
Surviving are one son, Kevin (and Pam) Pippin of Aurora; one sister, Shelba Russo of St. Louis; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Pippin was preceded in death by her parents, Levi Severs and Obie Powell Severs, one daughter, Debra Gale Hall, one sister, Marilyn Stone and one brother, Clyston Severs.
A graveside service will be held Saturday morning, July 21, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Antioch Cemetery in Oxly. Brother Arlin West will be officiating.
