Leona Hudson, 81-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO departed this life Saturday, February 8, 2020 at her residence in Doniphan, MO. Mrs. Hudson was born August 3, 1938 in Des Moines, IA to the late Robert and Irma (Scott) Stout. She was a sheet metal worker at McDonald Douglas for 25 years. She loved hanging with friends, playing cards, bingo, and spending time with her grandkids.
On July 31, 1953, in Success, AR she was married to Freddie Hudson who preceded her in death on September 24, 1988.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are her children, James (Fran) Hudson of Maryland, Dorothy (Harold) Lane of Leslie, MO, Teresa Meadors of Doniphan, Karen (Dennis) Krenning of Vichy, MO, and Rita (Jack) Overstreet of Doniphan; two sisters, Charlotte Earney of Steelville, MO and Nancy Kibbe of Milo, IA. She was the proud grandma of 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hudson will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Visitation will begin at Noon and burial will be in the Hitt Cemetery, Success AR.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to 5 Acres Animal Shelter, 1099 Pralle Ln., St. Charles MO 63303 or St. Judes Hospital.
