Barbara Sue Fletcher, 71, life-long resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Fletcher, daughter of Earnest and Georgia (Cates) Fagan, was born September 21, 1940, in Doniphan. She had retired as a teacher with the Doniphan R-1 School System. Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed reading, fishing and watching her granddaughter play basketball and volleyball. She also liked going to auctions and yard sales and enjoyed collecting antiques. She attended the Church of Christ.
On March 18, 1962, she was married to Doyle Fletcher in Rochelle, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Stacey Ritter and her husband, Mark of Doniphan; one granddaughter, Brittney Ritter of Doniphan; and one sister, Patricia Shemwell of San Diego, California.
Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday evening, November 4, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Saturday morning, November 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens.
