Obituary of Larry Gale Jordan

Larry Gale Jordan, 71, departed this life Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was born June 12, 1948 in Gideon, MO to the late Lynn and Martha (Mann) Jordan. Larry was a welder, machine operator, fabricator, and truck driver, He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and received the Bronze Star. Mr. Jordan was a member of the Vietnam Vets Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3485. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing pool. On August 29, 1970, Larry married Beth Waynick in Clarkton, MO. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Larry Jordan of Fairdealing, MO, Jimmie Jordan of Doniphan, MO, and Jason Jordan of Gatewood, MO; three sisters, Alma Dashner of Red Bud, IL, Martha Holmes of Clarkton, MO, and Debra Hargis of Eldorado, AR; his brothers, Bill Jordan of Cherokee Village, AR, Lester Jordan of Wappapello, MO, Jerry Jordan of Clarkton, Mo, and Eugene Jordan of Camden, AR; his grandchildren, Jacob, Estralla, Zayes, Alex, Jimmie, Madison, Mackenzie, Josh, Jason, Nicholas, Stetson, Tanner, Decklan, Ryan, and Ricky; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by one sister, Georgia Minor, and four brothers, Charles, Jimmy, Leroy, and Boyd Jordan. Visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Friday, January 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Jared Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnston Chapel Cemetery.
