Obituary of Donald Gene Harkey

Donald Gene Harkey, 76-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Donald was born December 2, 1943 in Leachville, AR to the late David O. and Beulah (Kennedy) Harkey.

Mr. Harkey retired from the railroad, where he worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking, leather working, motorcycles, and working on engines. Donald was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Airsman of Barnhart, MO, Denise Bernabe of Arnold, MO and Amber Greenlee of Wappapello, MO; his son, Wesley Greenlee of Doniphan, and his grandsons, John and Joshua Dempsey of DeSoto, MO. He also leaves behind and his family would like to thank his special friends, Rhonda and Wally Harkey with whom Donald spend his last days.

Interment will be at a later date in the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO.
