Obituary of Dennis Eugene Emmons

Dennis Eugene “Teddy” Emmons, 71-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Dennis was born January 5, 1948 to the late J. W. “Junior” and Doris (Davis) Emmons in Doniphan.

Mr. Emmons was a heavy equipment operator and over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed deer hunting and the outdoors. One of his favorite activities was feeding catfish in his ponds. Dennis served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his special friend and life partner, Phyllis Egland; one son, Dennis Emmons, Jr., of St. Louis; and a sister, Debbie (Jerry) Cole of Doniphan. Also surviving are several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by one son, Brad Emmons.

A graveside service for Mr. Emmons will be Monday, November 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Bellview Cemetery with Brother Pete Joplin officiating.
